Ferdinand is Spain's most peaceful and kindhearted bull. While all of the other bulls snort, leap, and butt their heads, Ferdinand is content to just sit and smell the flowers under his favorite tree. But when one misunderstanding leads others to believe he is a ferocious beast, Ferdinand finds himself in a bull-fighting ring with no will to fight! This beloved Spanish story explores what it means to choose your own path and to stand by your beliefs. With puppetry and music, First Act Children’s Theatre brings to the stage this delightful duel-language play based on the original book by Munro Leaf.
From novice to experienced young performers, our after-school production classes provide a universal approach to children's theatre for students in grades 1 through 6 that embraces diversity and encourages inclusion and self-esteem. Audition skills are introduced and refined. Creative movement, vocal strength, memory development, acting technique, singing, dancing and group cooperation are fostered throughout the eight weeks of rehearsal. The fun culminates in a FREE fully-costumed performance for family and friends!
