Young Parker Polar Bear goes on an epic adventure to discover why the icebergs are melting in his family home. Along the way he encounters other creatures who are also experiencing distressing changes in their environments; butterflies, tree frogs, coral and even a New York city Rat! As his group of friends expands, Parker begins to understand what has been happening across the planet and who is responsible–greenhouse gas! In this delightful play about Global Warming, threats to our planet are personified, and the animals and wild species become the real heroes. Join us for this original, heartwarming play about bravery and discovery!
From novice to experienced young performers, our after-school production classes provide a universal approach to children's theatre for students in grades 1 through 6 that embraces diversity and encourages inclusion and self-esteem. Audition skills are introduced and refined. Creative movement, vocal strength, memory development, acting technique, singing, dancing and group cooperation are fostered throughout the eight weeks of rehearsal. The fun culminates in a FREE fully-costumed performance for family and friends!
